A Pizza’s-eye View of the Yale Farm Returns!
Hey everyone, remember me? It was a long and snowy winter, but this pizza is back.
I know, I can barely remember it either. What were the toppings we used in those final October weeks? Roasted sweet potatoes, eggplants, bell peppers, and other late-season fare. They were delicious, but I’m ready for what’s in store this Friday: pizzas topped with our old standbys (mozzerella, ricotta, tomato sauce, olive oil, and just a little salt), then crowned with delicate greens from our hoop houses. And who knows? Maybe some nettles will be ready to eat, from the berm above the lower terrace.
In any case, it promises to be delicious. Come out for the workday, this Friday from 1:00-5:00, and get ready to eat a bunch of me and my pizza brethren come 4:00 or so — see you there!
